MONTREAL, CANADA - Canada's prisons have become dangerous places to work because wardens refuse to crack down on inmates who puff away in their cells, says the union that represents the country's prison officers. The Union of Canadian Correctional Officers announced Thursday it is seeking leave from Labour Minister Jean-Pierre Blackburn to launch a lawsuit against its employer, the Correctional Service of Canada.
