| Sheriff seeks money for software |

DOUGLAS COUNTY, KS - The Douglas County Jail needs to improve some of its security systems, county commissioners were told Wednesday night. The Douglas County Commission gave the sheriff's office approval to spend up to $30,000 in making those improvements. Commissioners took that action after a closed-door executive session to discuss jail security issues with Undersheriff Ken Massey. Read more.
