Cooling off inmates in MI

KALAMAZOO, MI - The state Corrections Department agreed Wednesday to cool some Jackson prison cell blocks by mid-July.

That will affect an area where 21-year-old inmate Timothy Joe Souders died of dehydration after he was shackled to a concrete bed for most of four days during an August heat wave. Read more.
