| Disciplinary board finds CO guilty |

KANE COUNTY, IL - A police disciplinary board found a Kane County corrections officer guilty of warning inmates about a shakedown that led to an inmate death. After more than two days of testimony, the Kane County Sheriff's Merit Commission Thursday found Jose Rivera guilty of insubordination for failing to take a polygraph test, lying to supervisors, conduct that can destroy the function and reputation of the office and violating the law by providing inmates information on a pending shakedown.
