BRENTWOOD, NH - Stalled negotiations between county officials and a union representing prison corrections officers have resulted in mudslinging and a public airing of grievances. In a statement issued by the corrections officers' union Sunday, a vote of no confidence against county jail superintendent Al Wright was announced and the union alleged substandard pay, longevity bonuses and shift differential compensation. The union also alleged "embezzlement" by county officials for having available county funds to meet their demands, but failing to do so. Read more.
