ALLOUEZ, WI - A lockdown that went into effect Friday at the Green Bay Correctional Institution likely will continue at least into next week, Warden William Pollard said Wednesday. The institution went into lockdown as a precautionary measure after prison staff learned of an inmate plan for some kind of disruption, he said. Staff "has a pretty good idea" of what the disruption was to be, Pollard said, but he declined to comment, saying the matter still is under investigation. Read more.
