| Director says facility fixes are coming |

INDIANAPOLIS, IN - The director of Marion County's community corrections programs said Thursday that planning is under way to fix a Downtown correctional facility beset by safety, security and sanitation problems. The problems were highlighted in a state report this week that was critical of the conditions at the Marion County Community Corrections Center, 147 E. Maryland St. Among the problems: a moldy ventilation system, leaking water and sewage, and security breaches that included staff members taking keys home. Read more.
