Three Utah halfway house inmates have been charged with aggravated assault and sentenced to prison for cutting a swastika tattoo from a fellow inmate's arm.
Jonathan Gardner, 24, Caleb Iles, 22, and Link Heywood, 21, had allegedly recruited the victim, whose name was not released, into their Fourth Reich group and given him the tattoo.
In November, the three removed the tattoo with a razor blade after learning the victim had sex with a black woman.
Gardner pleaded guilty to second-degree felony aggravated assault in 2nd District Court and was sentenced to one to 15 years in prison. Iles and Heywood were sentenced to zero to five years in prison after pleading guilty to third-degree felony aggravated assault.
