Work release jobs stay public

SOUTH BEND, IN - Gov. Mitch Daniels was in town Tuesday to announce that the public sector beat out privatization in the area of community corrections.

"You won,'' he told the workers at the South Bend Work Release Center, 2421 S. Michigan St. "You've been selected, and you'll be doing this for the next three years.'' Read more.
