| 'Dope' lecture riles up parents |

LORAIN, OH - A middle school principal is dealing with backlash over a recent program in which inmates of the Grafton Correctional Institution spoke to students. The program, called “Dope is for Dopes,” was brought to the North Shore Small School by Principal Romy Adams for about 20 students who, according to Adams, exhibited at-risk behavior including truancy and behavioral issues, said Dean Schnurr, district spokesman. The program in the school's cafeteria-auditorium Feb. 16 featured personal testimony from two men serving time at the minimum- and medium-security prison on state Route 83 in Grafton. Read more.
