| GPS plan less than law requires |

MADISON, WI - By implementing changes proposed by Gov. Jim Doyle, Wisconsin would use GPS tracking to monitor 600 sex offenders who had attacked children - one-third fewer than under more strict standards passed last year. State Corrections Department Secretary Matt Frank told legislators Thursday that Doyle's plan to monitor 600 sex offenders by mid-2009 proves he is committed to expanding the current GPS program.
