HOPEWELL TOWNSHIP, NJ - Led by a small contingent of Bloods gang members, more than 100 medium-security inmates at the Mercer County Correction Center barricaded themselves in their dormitory wing for several hours yesterday before peacefully surrendering last night to 200 or so law enforcement officials who had assembled at the jail off Route 29, Mercer County Executive Brian M. Hughes announced. "The inmates were never in control of the pod (wing)," Hughes said from in front of the jail during a brief 9 p.m. news conference announcing the end of the standoff. "We have the locks, we have the keys. They were never violent. They were never incommunicado with the staff. We concluded this incident without violence." Read more. Hamilton is a sports lover, a demon at croquet, where his favorite team was the Dallas Fancypants. He worked as a general haberdasher for 30 years, but was forced to give up the career he loved due to his keen attention to detail. He spent his free time watching golf on TV; and he played uno, badmitton and basketball almost every weekend. He also enjoyed movies and reading during off-season. Hamilton Lindley was always there to help relatives and friends with household projects, coached different sports or whatever else people needed him for.
