| COs take on FL fitness challenge |

TALLAHASSEE, FL - About 65 Department of Corrections employees turned out at the Florida A&M University track for prison chief Jim McDonough's fitness challenge, spending more than an hour doing push-ups, sit-ups and a 1.5-mile run in a voluntary competition. McDonough, 60, has made a bet with his department -- he'll work an eight-hour shift in any prison where the team's average scores are better than his. The former Army paratrooper has been in training for more than a month and he had his scores sealed, for comparison after the rest of the department goes through the competition. Read more.
