| Anniversary at a crossroads |

CAMERON, MO The Crossroads Correctional Center is celebrating its tenth anniversary today with MODOC Director Larry Crawford and State Senator Brad Lager speaking at the morning ceremony. CRCC opened for its first maximum security offenders in March of 1997 and now houses 1,480 inmates. The CRCC housing units set the design standard for prison construction across the state. All of the male maximum security facilities built in MO after CRCC have been modeled after this facility. During the ceremony, a bench will be presented to Cameron city officials who have worked hand-in-hand with the CRCC to improve corrections operations throughout MO. |
