McALLEN, TX - Nine alleged members of the Texas Syndicate prison gang are charged with racketeering crimes including murder, kidnapping and drug trafficking under a four-count indictment unsealed Tuesday, federal prosecutors said. Seven of the defendants are already in Texas prisons and were to be transferred to federal custody to face the new charges. Read more.
