HARRISBURG, PA - An automated system to notify victims and others when an inmate is released or escapes from a county jail will soon be implemented in Pennsylvania, starting in eight pilot counties. The Statewide Automated Victim Information and Notification system will allow people to register for around-the-clock notice by phone call, letter or e-mail. Read more.
