LOUISVILLE, KY - For the seventh time in less than two years, a Metro Corrections inmate has been mistakenly released. Louisville resident Cornell Bennett, who is wanted for attempted murder, was released by the jail Tuesday, and police were looking for him yesterday. Despite a request by police to hold Bennett on Tuesday morning, he was released because of a "communication problem" within the jail, said Tom Campbell, director of Louisville Metro Corrections.Read more.
