SALISBURY, MD - Technological upgrades are the main focus for the Wicomico County Sheriff's Office and the county Department of Corrections during 2008 budget requests. With Wicomico County Executive Rick Pollitt slated to unveil his county budget, several departments have asked for more money than last year's requests. The Wicomico County Sheriff's Office requested an extra $755,019 for 2008, with much of that money going toward technological upgrades for staff, said Chief Deputy Gary Baker.Read more.
