City jail short on CO applicants

ZANESVILLE, OH - The city jail is in need of qualified female and minority applicants for corrections officer positions, after Civil Service Employment Coordinator Virginia Hanifan discovered she didn't have an adequate number of candidates for a merit test.

Hanifan said under Civil Service rules, five candidates are required for every one vacancy. Read more.
