BUNKER HILL, IN The Miami Correctional Facility in Indiana received a three-year national accreditation award from the American Correctional Association at the Correctional Accreditation Managers' Association conference. “This is a significant accomplishment and honor for a facility to receive,” INDOC Commissioner J. David Donahue says. “It takes hard work and dedication by the staff and offenders at Miami Correctional Facility to achieve this high distinction.” The accreditation process involves a professional peer review based on national standards developed by leaders in the fields of corrections, law, architecture, and health care. During Miami's three-year award period, staff will work to improve any deficiencies discovered during the review and continue to comply with these standards. |
