AUBURN, NY - An Auburn City Court jury convicted a former Auburn Correctional Facility inmate of grabbing a female corrections officer at the prison last July. The six jurors deliberated about 25 minutes on Friday before finding Kevin Holloway, 23, guilty of forcible touching in an incident July 23, 2006. He was sentenced to a year in county jail and ordered to pay $1,160 in fines and surcharges. Holloway is serving 10½ to 21 years for a 1996 manslaughter conviction out of Queens County and two counts of attempted promoting prison contraband. He was to be eligible for parole next month, according to the state Department of Correctional Services. |
