NEW LISBON, WI - What was supposed to be a relaxing Saturday afternoon of shopping quickly became a scene of confusion and chaos for two New Lisbon Correctional Institution officers. But their instinctive actions in rescuing an infant from a demolished vehicle following an Interstate rollover have won them praise. Shortly before 2 p.m. on March 24, corrections officers Shirley Reger and Shana Stewart hopped into Reger's truck and merged onto Interstate 90/94 in the city of Mauston heading toward Wisconsin Dells.
