| Corrections veteran to head new jail |

GENEVA , IL - Kane County Sheriff Pat Perez announced the appointment of a new corrections commander Thursday for the county's new jail. Lt. Pat Keaty, a 15-year veteran of the department who has been acting as jail transition coordinator, will run the county's new facility on Illinois 38, adjacent to the Kane County Criminal Justice Center west of St. Charles.
