BAHAMAS - The Bahamas is leading the way in developing new strategies throughout the Caribbean in smoothing the way for prisoners’ re-entry in society, according to Assistant Superintendent Rendal Coleby, who spoke at a press conference on Thursday at Her Majesty’s Prison. Mr. Coleby and other officials of the prison said they are inviting law enforcement officials from Canada, Guiana, Jamaica, St Lucia and the United States to share information and gain knowledge on how to change prison systems from strictly penal facilities to correctional facilities.
