NEW ZEALAND - Overloaded prisons have shut their doors to new inmates, leaving prisoners in overcrowded police cells and police struggling to cope with new arrests. The Corrections Department is considering nominating an Auckland police station as a Corrections facility in a bid to ease record prisoner numbers - and another station has installed a large flat screen television to keep prisoners entertained.
