| Corrections may shed jobs in revamp |

NEW ZEALAND - The Department of Corrections is undergoing a major shake-up, and up to ten workers may lose their jobs as a result. The review includes the setting up of an investigation team, which will look into allegations of corruption and unethical behaviour within the department. Corrections has been in the spotlight with problems over prisoner transport, allegations of corruption and drugs in prisons. Chief Executive Barry Matthews says the revamp will mean a number of significant changes at senior management level. |
