WESTERN AUSTRALIA - WA Corrective Services Minister Margaret Quirk said that under current laws, it was not possible to take action against corrections officers who had sex with their charges. There had been 72 cases of improper sexual conduct between corrections staff and offenders in the past 20 years, the majority involving prison staff and prisoners, she said. Read more.
