ONTARIO, CANADA - Prison inmates who abuse [COs] with their used needles or bodily fluids should be immediately forced to undergo blood tests, says the union representing Canada's 6,000 federal prison [officers]. The Union of Canadian Correctional Officers is petitioning Ottawa for legislation that would force inmates to take blood tests if they scratch, cut, or prick guards with needles, or if they assault guards with urine, feces, semen or any other bodily fluids.
