Apparent jail suicide investigated

GREAT FALLS, MT - Authorities are investigating the apparent suicide of a Cascade County jail inmate who was found hanging in her cell five days after pleading not guilty to second-degree murder, Sheriff David Castle said.

Tia Ann Henrikson, 23, of Browning, was found at 3:25 p.m. Tuesday. Jail staff performed cardiopulmonary resuscitation on the inmate until medical staff arrived and took over the procedure, Castle said in a press release. Henrikson was pronounced dead at the scene, the sheriff said. Read more.
