| New sex-crime legislation draws fire |

HELENA, MT — A new law requiring 25-year minimum sentences for sex crimes against children might be popular with the public but could seem less so when a treatment program for sex offenders starts looking for a home, a state lawmaker told the Corrections Advisory Council on Monday. Although Corrections Director Mike Ferriter said he was optimistic about the treatment provisions in the new law, Sen.
