SUGAR LAND, TX - The state plans to study the possibility of closing a century-old prison farm near Sugar Land as a neighboring airport considers expansion and residential development draws near. The study of the Central Unit is included in a bill passed this legislative session dealing with continued operations of the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. The bill is awaiting Gov.
