RALEIGH, NC - A minimum-custody inmate who did --not-- return from her work-release job in Raleigh over the weekend has surrendered to authorities. Corrections Department spokesman George Dudley says Laticia Howze turned herself in with her mother yesterday. Howze had --not-- returned to the Raleigh Correctional Center for Women after working at an area restaurant last Friday. The 33-year-old Howze was near the end of a seven- to 9-year sentence for armed robbery and was scheduled to be released next April. |
