ASHWAUBENON, WI — As they vetted two proposed ordinances Wednesday morning, leaders of some Green Bay suburbs agreed that any local law they passed restricting the activities of sex offenders constituted a political move. "The best thing we can do is adopt an ordinance that will buy time required by the state to study the issues," said Rich Heidel, president of the village of Hobart. "It's for a political reason."
