RUTLAND, VT - A Pownal man who claims he injured his back while an inmate at the Rutland jail more than five years ago when he fell off an upper bunk won't collect any money from a lawsuit he filed against the state, even though his attorney said a jury found he did not receive appropriate treatment. Sigismund Wysolmerski, a Rutland lawyer representing the former inmate, James W. Quinn III, said he was taken aback by the jury's mixed verdict returned recently in Rutland Superior Court. Read more.
