County to add four COs

FORSYTH, MO — Prisoners at the Taney County Jail are not playing nice when they flush their clothing down the toilet, adding to the water problem from a leaking roof.

Sheriff Jimmie Russell has proposed a solution, and the Taney County Commission has tentatively authorized him to advertise for four corrections officers. The new officers will work with current personnel to provide round the clock monitoring of the prisoners. Read more.
