| Pilot program aids probationers |

BOONE COUNTY, MO - Local criminal justice officials will unveil a new alternative sentencing program next month aimed at helping some convicted felons adapt to life outside of prison. The Boone County Reintegration Court is scheduled to start July 5. Boone County has been selected with Jackson and St. Charles counties for a three-year pilot program under the supervision of the Office of State Courts Administrator. Associate Circuit Judge Christine Carpenter said the court would work with offenders sentenced to 120-day "shock" incarceration. Read more.
