PASCAGOULA, MS - An inmate in the Jackson County Adult Detention Center required stitches after allegedly attacking a corrections officer Sunday afternoon. Lt. Ken Broadus said two officers were making rounds in one of the center's hallways when they heard what sounded like a fight in the day room about 4:15 p.m. As the officers entered the door, one of them stepped on the foot of inmate Jeffery Hargro, who is being held for parole violation.
