| Military employees honored |

PHOENIX, AZ - The Arizona Department of Corrections is holding the annual recognition for its employees who have put their lives on the line for freedom around the world. More than 25 percent of the state's DOC employees are veterans. Another 102 are on active duty, with 73 additional employees on standby, according to an ADOC press release. In the State Prison Complex in Yuma, there are 95 employees with military experience and five who are active, according to ADOC spokesman Bill Lamoreaux. Read more.
