Capital punishment law changed

PIERRE, SD - Among the many new laws that went on the books Sunday in South Dakota is one that deals with the pending execution of murderer Elijah Page.

Page has asked to be executed for the kidnapping, torture and slaying of 19-year-old Chester Allan Poage (POHG) of Spearfish seven years ago. The new law modernizes the method of lethal injection allowing prison officials to use whatever mix of drugs they find appropriate. Read more.
