Medical money for San Quentin
By Sacramento Bee

SACRAMENTO, CA - A funding flap over a project favored by federal receiver Robert Sillen appears to have been resolved with a proposal to pay for it with a portion of the bond money already approved for new prison hospital beds.

Sillen, the court-appointed overseer of California's prison medical care system, had favored a separate bill to finance his project, a new $146 million medical center at San Quentin Prison.
