Funding might defer pay raises

OLYMPIA, WA - The Department of Corrections might push back pay raises for its captains, lieutenants and other supervisors because it doesn’t have enough money to keep them ahead of unionized workers’ wages.

The agency plans to make a decision, which might include a request for extra funding, early next week, said deputy director for administration Melanie Roberts.Read more.
