Community program still looking for home

OZARK, AL – Officials are still searching for a facility where they can locate a community corrections residency program in Dale County, but one local resident who has been vocal about the idea says a new spirit of partnership has been developed between the Dale County Community Corrections Board and a few residents.

The board faced criticism because of its perceived intention to “quietly” locate a residency program on Andrews Avenue in the downtown business district last month by not informing neighboring businesses and community residents. Read more.
