Autism training offered

SALEM, NJ - The county will soon be providing training on autism to personnel in law enforcement, corrections, and fire and EMS, Freeholder David Lindenmuth, chair of the County Public Safety Committee, announced.

Autism is a lifelong developmental disability that affects the way a person communicates and relates to people around them. Children and adults with autism have difficulty relating to others in a meaningful way and it affects their capacity to understand other people's emotional expressions. Read more.
