AUGUSTA, ME - Two pieces in the July 6 edition of this newspaper should be proof positive that our jail/correctional system isn't working. The top-of-the-front-page article tells the story of a 31-year- old man, Michael L. Woodbury, who, after spending nine of the last 10 years in prison, went on a crime spree of burglary, bank robbery, arson and ended with a triple murder. Read more.
