MANNINGTON, NJ - A group of officers, said to set the example for those following behind them, were honored for exceptional duty at the first ever Salem County Sheriff's Office Recognition and Awards Ceremony Wednesday. Awards were given out for the Officers of the Quarter and Officer of the Year for 2006, and special acknowledgment was also given to seven others for recent promotions in the enforcement and corrections divisions.
