| Jail management under discussion |

DAKOTA COUNTY, IA - A public hearing was held Monday night to discuss who will run the Dakota County jail. The Dakota County board of commissioners met with the public to discuss several options for management of the new jail, that includes having the board of commissioners run it or just leaving it they way it is, operated by the county sheriff's office. A citizens committee is tentatively scheduled to meet with the board of directors to vote on August 7th. |
