LONG BEACH, CA - A government enterprise awarded a $1.87 million grant to Cal State Long Beach's Criminal Justice Department that will be used to monitor the effectiveness of substance-abuse treatment in users after they are released from prison. The four-year grant was awarded to the department by the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, which provides "victim and survivor services," according to the CDCR website.
