Milford feels loss of work crews

MILFORD, MI - For years, prison inmate workers were a common site on the streets of downtown Milford.

Clad in bright orange vests which identified them as inmates, the supervised workers — typically in their last year of incarceration — picked up trash in Central Park and the rest of the downtown area. They shoveled snow, painted and helped with other maintenance projects. Read more.
