CANADA - The scale of the gangland-style shooting at Fortune Happiness restaurant Thursday is a rarity in recent years in Greater Vancouver.

Suspected gang-related violence has been sporadic and isolated to one or two victims, unlike a series of deadly and dangerous encounters on the streets and in public venues in the 1990s and into the early 2000s. Read more.
