TEXAS - A disturbance broke out among inmates at a private prison facility in Mineral Wells late Monday. Police Capt. Mike McAllester said a report came in shortly before 9:30 p.m. of "out of control inmates." About 30 local officers set up a perimeter outside the prison's gates to secure the area, McAllester said. From the outer gates, he had seen fires set within the facility but they appeared to have burned down, he said. A prison special operations team was suiting up to go inside the facility as of about 11 p.m., McAllester said. Read more.
